Multiple Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailers could be released in the very near future, according to some new reports.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is currently in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will arrive in United States theaters in just a little over a year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then arrives a year later in December 2027.
It is known that the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is attached to James Cameron’s Avatar 3, also known as Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opens on December 19, 2025. According to multiple, unconfirmed reports, however, there may be more than one Avengers: Doomsday trailer that arrives before 2025 is over.
What is the Avengers: Doomsday trailer update?
Insider Chris Gore of Film Threat first reported earlier this month that there will be three different Avengers: Doomsday trailers that will reportedly be released with Avatar: Fire and Ash. A new teaser will be attached to the movie’s theatrical screenings over the course of three weeks, with one teaser released per week. These teasers supposedly have some sort of connection to one another, though exact details are unclear.
Insider Cryptic HD Quality then tweeted today, “Chris Gore was right…”
That was followed by scooper Daniel Richtman’s tweet stating that there will not be three different Avengers: Doomsday trailers; rather, there will be four. Richtman also said, “I deleted the joke tweet I made cuz it was misleading, it’s not gonna be all at once, it’s gonna be a weekly thing.”
This news has not been confirmed by Marvel, meaning it should be taken with a grain of salt at this time. If it does turn out to be true, it’s unclear if the teaser trailers will be immediately released online.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. Avengers: Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027.
