Xiaomi’s five-pronged Redmi Note 15 series has arrived globally, and we’ve got them in the office and ready for review. But since we’re only human, and a limited number at that, those will take some time. We’ll start things off with an unboxing – let’s unwrap the top of the range Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G.

It ships with the highest-rated charger among its peers at 100W. You also get a grey silicone case, and a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Ours is the nicer Mocha Brown unit, and it has a lovely faux leather finish. It’s grippier in the hand and is nice to look at and touch. Slapping the nondescript case on this lovely device is a sin!

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has the larger 6.83-inch 2772x1280px 120Hz AMOLED display. Only the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G matches this panel; the Redmi Note 15, Redmi Note 15 5G, and Redmi Note 15 Pro all have 6.77-inch screens. The Pro+ also has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top of its screen.

The phone packs dual speakers and something Redmi calls 400% volume boost. For reference, only the Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G have up to 400%; the rest of the series sits at 300%. What that means exactly is something we will delve into in the review.

The battery is a 6,500mAh unit, and it reaches the fastest 100W in the series. Reverse charging is also faster at 22.5W (compared to 18W on the regular vanilla and Pro models).

The chipset of choice for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a 4nm chip mated to 8GB or 12GB of RAM. You can configure the Pro+ with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Finally, a word on cameras. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has the same 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera as the rest of the Pro models. Next is an 8MP 15mm ultrawide (fixed-focus), and a 32MP selfie camera.
