Vivian Wong left a sunny Hong Kong and came to live with her husband Philip in a rainy Dublin in June 2017. Knowing no one here, she embraced Irish life and has not only started her own unusual business, but created a stunning home in Co Kildare

It takes gumption when naming your new company to give it a title that is a nod to one of the greatest tech entrepreneurs ever, yet that’s exactly what Vivian Wong did. Steve Jobs’ signature phrase when he was giving presentations on Apple’s latest invention was always the same. Invariably as he got near the end of the presentation, he’d say “One more thing”, and would then go on to describe another even more special feature of the device in question.

To herald that her products are special, Vivian daringly called her company One More Thing. It’s quite audacious to hint that you’re putting yourself in the same league as the best, but Vivian has many of the qualities of a top entrepreneur – ideas, get up and go, a fantastic work ethic, stamina and curiosity. She’s only been in this country nine years, yet already she’s not only created a successful company with One More Thing but also, along with her Irish husband Philip McKendry, has taken a literal shell of a house and turned it into a stunning home with some exceptional interior design details.
