Honor is gearing up to release its performance focused flagship smartphones in its home market of China. But ahead of the official announcement, a fresh teaser has showcased the Honor Win and Honor Win RT’s active cooling solution in action, so let’s check it out.

Honor Win series teased with Turbine cooling fan

The Chinese brand’s upcoming Honor Win just surfaced in a fresh video trailer that offers us a glimpse of the new “Dongfeng Turbine Cooling” Fan. As the name suggests, this is a tiny physical fan that spins at 25,000 RPM. In the video teaser, the Honor Win’s fan manages to cool down the chip powering the smartphone, preventing thermal throttling. This is a dual 360° surround fan that has a direct-drive cooling airflow.

When in full speed, the company claims that the temperature drops by around 5.7 degrees Celsius. Honor also stated that this is a durable moving piece that is promised to last for at least five years. The Honor Win and Win RT is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

While this confirms the device’s performance first focus, a recent leak has revealed capable camera hardware for photography. This includes a 50MP Sony LYT700 main camera and a 122MP ultra wide angle lens on the Win RT model. Meanwhile, the Honor Win is a premium model that also gets a 50MP Sony IMX856 telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. Other notable features include a massive 10,000mAh battery, a 1.5K 6.83-inch 120Hz OLED display and 100W wired fast charging support.
