Mobile tech brand OnePlus is closing out the year with a massive hardware blitz, officially unveiling a trio of new devices designed to bring flagship-level performance to more accessible price points.
Leading the charge is the OnePlus 15R, a “flagship killer” that boasts a massive 7,400mAh battery and the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Joining the smartphone is the OnePlus Pad Go 2, the brand’s first tablet to offer integrated 5G connectivity and dedicated stylus support, alongside the OnePlus Watch Lite, a sleek wearable featuring a record-breaking 3,000-nit display and unique cross-OS dual-phone pairing.
Together, these releases signal a strategic shift for OnePlus as it aims to dominate the “premium mid-segment” just in time for the holiday shopping season. By trickling down high-end features like 165Hz AMOLED displays and advanced AI-driven software, the company is looking to bridge the gap between its top-tier flagships and its budget-friendly Nord line-up.
OnePlus 15R
The OnePlus 15R
Priced at £649 for the 256GB model, the OnePlus 15R’s promises impressive performance beginning with its chipset which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, co-defined and co-optimised over 24 months by Qualcomm and OnePlus. OnePlus quotes a 36% faster CPU speed and 46% better AI performance than the previous generation chipset.
Users of smartphones demand that their phones last at least a full day of general use and the OnePlus 15R promises to excel with its large 7,400 mAh battery equipped with OnePlus’s 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology, built to run in the harshest environments and still keep running with at least 80% capacity after four years.
It’s also built with Silicon Nanostack technology, with 15% silicon content inside its anode, which provides excellent energy density. We wont know for sure what this means for users until I get my hands on a phone and put it through its paces in the coming weeks.
Priced from £319, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 offers a compelling case for those after the quality of an iPad but at a more modest price

At the front of OnePlus 15R the screen is a 165Hz LTPS 1.5K AMOLED display. Measuring 6.83 inches and featuring 450 pixels per inch, which is undoubtedly large, it can go as high as 1800 nits of brightness and as low as 1 nit with Reduce White Point activated.
For all the amateur photographers out there, the OnePlus 15R features strong photography skills too. This starts with a 32-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus and a 50-megapixel main camera, the same IMX906 sensor found on OnePlus 15, and an 8 megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 112 degrees field of view. This hardware is combined with the new OnePlus DetailMax Engine. The device can also record 4K video at up to 120 frames per second and then go on to edit the footage directly on the device, again a road test will be required to see just how great the improvements are over its older sibling.
OnePlus Pad Go 2
The OnePlus Pad Go 2
Priced from £319, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 offers a compelling case for those after the quality of an iPad but at a more modest price. A 12.1-inch display gives an impressive screen size for multi-tasking, but much will depend on the weight of the unit, as we have noted some tablets in the past have been too big and cumbersome for their own good.
The display also features 284 pixels per inch, 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage and 900 nits HBM brightness and supports Dolby Vision for amazing media playback which will certainly appeal to movie buffs.
Powering OnePlus Pad Go 2 is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra octa-core chipset, built on an advanced 4nm process, which means the device delivers powerful performance from day one all the way to four years away, as certified by TÜV SÜD Fluency testing. OnePlus Pad Go 2 also features a massive 10,050 mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging which allows for up to 15 hours of video, 53 hours of music or a full 60 days of standby power, more than enough for your next continental or trans-Atlantic flight.
In a competitive field the OnePlus must deliver a compelling package to avoid being “just another” tablet.
OnePlus Watch Lite
The OnePlus Watch Lite priced from £179
The OnePlus Watch Lite priced from £179, promises users an opportunity to experience core smartwatch features, in an elegant, ultra-thin design. The watch is focused on health and well-being as it features the 60-second Wellness Overview, offering a comprehensive snapshot of heart health, sleep quality, and mental wellness. Paired with the Mind and Body Evaluation feature, which learns your body’s patterns to assess daily stress and energy levels, the watch monitors activity, rest, and stress, sending gentle alerts with actionable insights for overall well-being.
With over 100 workout modes, the OnePlus Watch Lite supports a wide range of activities. It includes 12 professional sports modes, such as running, tennis, badminton, and skipping rope. For runners, and you can keep on the move thanks to a 10-day battery life, something Apple users would sell their soul for.
The watch features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness in Sports Mode and Aqua Touch technology for accurate control even with wet hands.
With its competitive pricing and feature-laden spec, the Watch Lite could be the surprise breakthrough of the bunch, testing in the new year will confirm if the big players should be worried.
