Planet Fitness franchisee Red Mountain Management has donated gently used cardio equipment to several community organizations in West Michigan.

The donations come as several nearby locations are getting new machines, according to a community announcement. The recipient groups serve vulnerable populations, individuals in recovery and first responders, among others.

“We are always looking for ways to enrich our communities and, with this opportunity to pass along equipment and promote fitness and well-being through easy access to exercise, we aim to do just that,” wrote Julian Monterosso, president of Red Mountain Management.

The organizations that received donated equipment include:

  • Boys and Girls Club of Muskegon
  • Fruitport Fire Department
  • Muskegon Township Fire Department
  • Ottawa County Community Mental Health
  • MOKA
  • KPEP
  • Harbor House
  • Enriched Living
  • Emma Court Home
  • Forest Trail
  • Delight Care

The donations were made in mid-June. Recipients were selected by Red Mountain Management based on organizational need, potential community impact and a commitment to creating a positive impact.

Planet Fitness clubs with new equipment are located at 4235 Alpine Ave. NW in Comstock Park, 2520 Henry St. in Muskegon and 2807 Lake Michigan Drive in Grand Rapids.
