Former Kerry Airport CEO John Mulhern.

John Mulhern has stepped aside as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kerry Airport Ireland after six years.

During his tenure, Mr Mulhern oversaw some of the most progressive changes in the airport – both in terms of its infrastructure and the range of destinations available to customers.

Mr Mulhern made the announcement via his LinkedIn page on Tuesday morning stating that his time as CEO had come to an end.

“Highs and lows, but overall we have been on a transformational journey of improvement,” he said.

Mr Mulhern stated that 2025 is evolving into a record year in every aspect of operations at Kerry Airport Ireland.

“The airport is standing tall now as the greatest little regional airport. In many ways, the positive growth was down to the fantastic team here. Thank you all so much,” he said.

Mr Mulhern also thanked Tom O’Driscoll and Basil Sheerin for their kindness and support on projects “that to some appeared impossible,” he said.
