Zach Gilford joined the cast as a recurring guest star in season one of Evolution. He plays “Elias Voit, an operations analyst for a global cyber-security firm who has a dark side and an obsession with death.”

“The more we talked, we thought we had one more season to really explore some other stuff with him and the team,” showrunner and executive producer Erica Messer told EW. “You’re going to see him in every episode of season 19. He is a prisoner again, but in a very different way than he was in season 17. He will be a resource for us.”
Ryan-James Hatanaka – RETURNING CAST MEMBER
Ryan James Hatanaka was promoted to series regular in season two of Evolution, playing the role of Tyler.
