Football legend Roy Keane is celebrating the arrival of another grandchild as his daughter Leah welcomes her first baby.
This marks the fourth time the former footballer has become a grandfather, with his most recent grandchild born in April this year. Leah, who is engaged to Southampton defender and England international Taylor Harwood-Bellis, has given birth to her first child.
Although her Instagram account is set to private, she has updated her bio to “Iris’s mum,” revealing that she has named her newborn daughter Iris.
Earlier this year, Leah shared her pregnancy news on social media with an adorable video compilation captioned: “Half of me, half of you.”, reports RSVP Live.
The video featured several heartwarming moments, including Leah telling Harwood-Bellis about her pregnancy and her visit to the doctor for her first scan.
Roy first announced his status as a grandfather in 2021 and frequently posts photos of his two eldest grandchildren on social media. In April 2025, he revealed that he had become a grandfather once again with the birth of his third grandson.
Roy and his wife Theresa Doyle are parents to five children – Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah, and Alanna. Roy tied the knot with Theresa in his hometown of Mayfield in Cork back in 1997. The couple first crossed paths while he was playing for Nottingham Forest in 1992.
It’s been a remarkable year for the family, with the birth of two grandchildren and the wedding of Roy’s son Aidan earlier this year.
Aidan typically shuns the spotlight, but sister Caragh announced the news on Instagram, posting: “The most perfect weekend celebrating my brother and my beautiful new sister.”

Roy subsequently took to social media to share another snap from the occasion. In a photo alongside wife Theresa and the newly married couple, Roy posted: “Beautiful day celebrating my son and his wife.”
Meanwhile, daughter Caragh recently disclosed that she was confined to bed for three months prior to receiving a lupus diagnosis. The 29 year old has drawn inspiration from her unexpected health condition to establish her own enterprise aimed at supporting others facing similar circumstances.
Caragh learnt she had the auto-immune condition in 2021 and experienced numerous distressing symptoms, including blistered skin, hair loss and joint pain. The illness regrettably left Caragh, who was 25 at the time, bedridden and she was forced to decline a teaching position in Manchester.
