On Saturday, December 27th, 2025, Evelyn passed away unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by her father Bert.
Sadly missed by her mother Bríd, sisters Pauline (Waldron) and Bernadette (Finnegan), brother Jarlath, nieces and nephew Ailish, Niall and Emer, brothers-in-law James and Tommie, relatives and neighbours, former work colleagues at the Galway Advertiser and a wide circle of friends.
May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace

Evelyn will lie in repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, (H91 V1K8) from 4.30 p.m. with Removal to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam, at 6.30 p.m.
Wednesday 31st December 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Evelyn at 11.30 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Kilbannon cemetery.
The Funeral Mass will be live streamed

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Parking may be scarce on Munster Avenue.
Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
