Cody Simpson is returning to music!!
The 28-year-old entertainer started his career as a singer when he was a teenager, and after about ten years, took a step back and pursued another passion – making the Australian Swim Team.
Now, after dabbling in some acting over the past couple years, Cody is officially coming back to music!

“I’m excited to come back to music full time after my swimming career but I’m also really afraid because what if I lose myself in the industry again and what if it doesn’t work out the way I’d like it to but also how can it not because I love what I do so much and will stop at nothing to play big venues and connect with lots of beautiful people plus also I got athlete mentality now,” he wrote over a short video of himself on Sunday (December 28).
Several hours later, he revealed he’s about to sign a new record deal!
“Update: It’s 2 days after Christmas 2025 and I’m in the airport waiting for my flight back to LA to sign a new record deal and restart my music career and I truly feel 17 again.. like Zac Efron in the movie,” he shared. “Posting this to capture the feeling of being at the start of a new journey to come back to later”
Earlier this year, Cody opened up about leaving Hollywood and pursuing his swim career.
