Onscreen chemistry – great for the movie, potentially not so great for signifcant others. Apparently that’s a feeling Sutton Foster knows all too well. An insider says the actress isn’t loving the close bond forming between boyfriend Hugh Jackman and his co-star Kate Hudson.

Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are currently promoting their new movie. The pair seemingly grew close during filming, and have even joked about feeling like a married couple.

Well, one person who apparently isn’t loving the camaraderie and coziness of their press tour is Sutton Foster. Sources claim she is extremely jealous over the newfound friendship, reports Radar Online.

Kate has been in a relationship with musician Danny Fujikawa for nearly a decade, and the pair have a daughter together. Sutton and Hugh are thought to have begun dating in the fall of 2024, following Hugh’s split from Deborra-Lee Furness.

Kate and Hugh are starring in Song Sung Blue, which follows a pair of musicians who fall in love over their passion for Neil Diamond. Kate clearly enjoyed working with the Wolverine star. Writing on Instagram in December 2024, she called him her “work hubby,” adding:
“Can’t wait to share more then just our matching green eye balls ? More to come”

The pair’s close bond isn’t the only thing that may be making Sutton green-eyed. The insider told RO: “The first thing people may wonder when they see Song Sung Blue is, ‘Hey, why isn’t Sutton Foster in this movie with Hugh?’ She’s the right age, she has the right look, and, unlike Kate Hudson, she’s actually an accomplished singer. But the vision for this project required that Hugh star opposite someone who is equally famous, and that disqualified Sutton.” Ouch.

While it’s pretty clear that Hugh and Kate are just good pals, the current press tour could put a strain on Hugh’s relationship, according to the insider. They added: “With a big promotional tour ahead for Hugh and Kate, it’s only going to get worse for Sutton, even if Hugh doesn’t see what all the fuss is about.”
