A SPECIAL episode of Cloch le Carn will celebrate the life, humour and career of the late Jon Kenny. 

The beloved Limerick comedian passed away in November of last year at the age of 66. 

Best known for his work with Pat Shortt as part of the comedy duo D’Unbelievables, Jon Kenny captured the imagination of an audience with his quick wit and amazingly diverse range of characters. 

As an actor, he also played many memorable roles in Father Ted, The Van, Angela’s Ashes and more recently The Banshees of Inisherin. 

As well as being an accomplished actor and comedian, Jon Kenny was also a talented musician, poet and solo performer – he loved to write, perform and create and he leaves behind a lasting legacy in the Irish entertainment world. 

The episode of Cloch le Carn will look at all aspects of Jon Kenny’s career, where he got his creative inspiration from and the profound impact his work had on Irish comedy and culture at large. 

The episode will feature interviews, archival footage and personal anecdotes.
