Before she got Mozart, Grace McIntyre says people would stare at her and her wheelchair. “Now they don’t, because they don’t see my disability – they just see Mozart,” she adds.
Mozart is a six-year-old poodle, an assistance dog that Grace got through Irish Dogs for the Disabled, the non-profit organisation based in Cork that trains dogs to assist people with physical disabilities to achieve greater independence.
