A man has been charged after a major seizure of cannabis and cocaine in north Roscommon.
Gardaí on patrol at Corrigeenroe, Boyle, stopped and searched a vehicle at around 1 o’clock yesterday morning and recovered cannabis herb, cannabis resin and cocaine with an estimated street value of more than €33,000.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested and was detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Ballyshannon District Court tonight.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
