In the hope you’re not planning to do anything so rash as to forswear alcohol or delicious food for the month of January, a month that’s enough of a slog as it is without the need to pile on added deprivation, but may be craving meals not centred around the trifecta of cream, cheese and hefty quantities of roast meat, I offer for your delectation my latest discovery: Daruma.
I am, I acknowledge, late to this party, so apologies if you already know and love Daruma, as I do now. It may not be a new restaurant but it is new to me, and that’s what counts here.
