Wicklow Wexford TD says ‘mental health services are in a state of emergency’
Over 1,000 people in 2025 presented themselves to Wexford General Hospital with a mental health crisis.
A local TD has called out the HSE for failing to provide a mental health crisis unit in Wexford after over 1,000 people have presented to Wexford General Hospital in 2025.
Over the past five years 5,105 people in Wexford, including 877 children presented themselves to the A&E unit of Wexford General Hospital in a mental health crisis.
