The members of BTS have completed their mandatory service in the South Korean military. So now they can get back to serving the ARMY. Jimin, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, V, Suga, and Jin announced their reunion back in July, but now we are getting some firmer dates to work with. The band posted a message to members teasing March 20, 2026 for …something. New single? Tour date announcement? The big BTS news is still TBD.

Over the Christmas hols, the band did a Weverse livestream further stoking the passions of the ARMY. “Let 2026 be the year of BTS,” RM said. “Something really big is coming.”

The wait for new BTS has been hard on the members, too. “I’m so sick of 2025,” RM said, per Chosun Daily. “I’m going crazy wanting to come back quickly. I really hate this year-end. I can’t say how much preparation has been done, but when will the company announce the comeback date? I wish HYBE would announce it sooner.”

BTS announced a new album on a July Weverse stream. “We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas,” the group said in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. “We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.” Hopefully that work will pay off this March.
