Donal Skehan is hitting the ground running and preparing for a big change to his family life as we inch our way into 2026.
The celebrity chef revealed that he has big plans in store for the new year that will see his family shake up their normal routine.
Donal shares two children with his wife Sofie, with whom he marked their ten-year anniversary in 2025.

With the dawn of a new year, Donal is ready for a change and revealed that he and his family are on the move again.
The Skehans lived in LA for a number of years while he worked on his TV career Stateside before moving back to Ireland at the height of COVID.

As for his latest move, Donal has revealed that the move will be temporary as they are planning a major renovation on their home.
He shared a number of videos of himself packing their belongings for their ‘fresh start.’
‘New Year, new move! Packing the house for a fresh start! After over seven moves, always start with the essentials in a go-box,’ he advised his followers.
In a second video, he revealed further details of their plans, saying: ‘Doing a big job on the house this year, so moving out to get things underway! Deep breaths!’

Donal’s renovation plans come as he recently launched his latest cookbook Donal’s Real Time Recipes, before being rushed to the hospital in November.
