On Thursday, January 1, the Wexford Road policing Units commenced their 2026 campaign, targeting intoxicated driving in the county while also continuing the National Christmas Road Policing campaign.
In Enniscorthy gardaí detected a vehicle being driven with no insurance.
A roadside oral fluid test was conducted on the driver which indicated the presence of cocaine. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was subsequently seized.
A garda representative said that investigations are ongoing.
