All episodes of The Teresa Battaglia Cases are streaming for free in the UK. The Italian crime drama stars Elena Sofia Ricci as a determined police detective who specialises in solving brutal murders, while hiding her worsening Alzheimer’s symptoms.
The first season, titled Flowers Over the Inferno, originally aired in Italy in 2023. It unfolds over six dramatic episodes as Teresa and her team delve into various harrowing crimes around town.
“Straight-talking Commissioner Teresa Battaglia investigates a murder case with tendrils extending well into the past, while also dealing with personal challenges,” reads the description.
The Teresa Battaglia Cases has now joined Channel 4‘s Walter Presents collection – a catalogue of international shows selected by TV connoisseur Walter Iuzzolino.
The full series is available to binge for free (with English subtitles) on Channel 4’s streaming service.

The second season, titled Sleeping Nymph, follows Teresa as she seeks justice for a recently deceased fellow officer. The six-episode season sees the police becoming the prey, with Teresa hell-bent on undercovering who’s responsible.
“A young cop, Marta, is found dead, and she’s apparently shot herself. But Teresa believes that something’s wrong. She’s sure that Marta has been murdered with suicide as a set-up,” the description teases.
The Walter Presents collection includes nine other Italian dramas, such as Inspector Ricciardi, Pale Mountains, The Red Door, Off Grid and Cold Summer. Other categories include Crime and Corruption, Nordic Noir and the intriguing Dangerous Locations.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for another female-led cop show on Channel 4, Lolita Lobosco centres around a “confident and instinctive” Deputy Superintendent, who is haunted by her past when she returns to her hometown.
“Heading up a team at the local police station, she takes on murder and other crimes in her own particular style,” reads the synopsis.
