Corriedale has shared some special behind-the-scenes photos of the cast, ahead of tomorrow night’s crossover. The hugely anticipated episode promises “drama, secrets, lies, injuries and potential deaths”, as the two soap worlds collide in a celebration of the genre.

While the exact details won’t be uncovered until it airs, Corriedale will see fan-favourite characters from Weatherfield and the Dales joining forces amid a devastating crash.

Among those involved are Coronation Street’s Shona and David Platt, Debbie and Carl Webster, Steve McDonald and Todd Grimshaw. Meanwhile, Emmerdale’s Liam Cavanagh, Sarah Sugden, Charity and Aaron Dingle, Joe Tate and Jacob Gallagher are also embroiled in the drama.

The episode was filmed over three weeks in October, including a 12-night shoot on a disused road in Yorkshire. While there will be plenty of on-screen chaos tomorrow night, the cast and crew appear to have got on famously when the cameras stopped rolling.

In a series of behind-the-scenes pictures, the soap stars can be seen enjoying each other’s company in between filming the horrific stunt.

The pictures include Jack P Shepherd and Julia Goulding (David and Shona), grinning alongside Natalie J Robb and Danny Miller (Moira and Aaron Dingle) – despite their bloodied faces.

Similarly, Gareth Pierce (Todd), Ned Porteous (Joe) and Joe-Warren Plant (Jacob) can be seen sporting huge winter coats, while sharing a hot drink together during a cold night shoot. And it’s smiles all around in a picture of Jonathan Howard (Carl) holding hands with his dapper stunt dummy.

“There was such a fantastic atmosphere on set. It was really special to be able to work with the Emmerdale cast and crew. It certainly helped with the night shoots to be able to work with new people. We kept the energy levels high with coffee and lots of sugary sweets!” said Goulding.

Miller added: “The night shoots were a lot of fun and it’s been great working with the Corrie team. I can’t wait to see how the episode plays out with the separate storylines from both Emmerdale and Corrie. It’s going to be epic and every soap fan’s dream.”
