Corriedale spoilers follow.

Corriedale has aired an unseen moment following the results of the interactive fan vote. Last year, it was confirmed that the one-hour special would include an interactive element in the form of an online poll.

Airing last night, the dramatic crossover episode saw a number of characters from Coronation Street and Emmerdale involved in a horrific multi-vehicle pile-up.

After thousands of people voted for their “dream duo” from a shortlist of four iconic pairings, the episode revealed the result of the fan vote and viewers were treated to an excellent scene in which Charity Dingle and Carla Connor shared a ride in a lift.

While only one scene could make the final cut, fans have already been given a look at another one of the special scenes in a hilarious clip featuring Kirk Sutherland and Sam Dingle.

Sharing the clip that would have been used if they had won the vote in an episode of Corriedale: Backstage Pass, fans got to see Kirk and Sam as they attempted to find their way around a hospital map.

After Kirk asked Sam if he was there because of the crash, Sam replied: “Yeah. Aaron were in one of the cars. Charity were in another. Well, I think our Cain’s been shot again, so.”

When Kirk enquired as to whether they were friends of Sam’s, he said “hell no” revealing that they are his family and part of “the Dingle clan”.

Upon Sam’s mention of his family name, Kirk burst out in fits of laughter before being told off and apologising.

In a perfect cameo, it was revealed that Kirk had brought Peanut the dog with him to the hospital, with Sam saying he didn’t think dogs were allowed in the building.

As they parted ways, Kirk said: “It’s a good job I ran into you. Someone with smarts.”

It looks like we’ll be getting to see the other two scenes at some point, with Corriedale boss Iain MacLeod confirming that they would likely release them all.

“We’ll find some avenue for you to see all of them at some point, I’m sure,” he said. “But in terms of what goes in the episode, the final version of Corriedale to be enshrined for posterity, that will be up to the audience.”

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
