Almost a third of parents who responded to a new national survey say their child has needed mental health services such as counselling or psychiatric support.
Children’s mental health, young people’s online presence, and the cost of parenting are among the main concerns highlighted in the Parents of Ireland Survey 2026, which was carried out by Schooldays.ie and gathered responses from almost 2,000 parents across the country.
