“AHHHHHHH”

How have we arrived at a place where Mary M. Cosby — who is in the midst of a bad PR month over a documentary claiming she’s running a cult — is the voice of reason? The trailer for the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City three-part reunion dropped on January 6, and it marks the first time that Housewives has gone so off the rails that host Andy Cohen storms offstage. “I’m walkin’ off,” Cohen says, dejectedly, as he leaves, while Lisa Barlow continues to monologue. “No, Andy please,” Mary calls out. Then, it cuts to the women looking at one another while Mary stands and looks for her departed friend.

So how did we get here? The main tension at the reunion seems to surround Heather, who at one point tells Meredith that “our friendship is over from this moment on.” “Heather …,” Mary, a newly normal person, says in response. There’s also a moment when Andy looks at Bronwyn, who publicly separated from her husband, Todd, after the season ended, and tells her, “Do I have more questions about Todd? I do.” “So Todd and I are separated,” Bronwyn reveals with a quiver in her voice. Their split marks the first time that RHOSLC has seen a major couple separate (other than Britani and Jared, who have separated ten-to-12 times).

We can learn why they broke it off and why Cohen stormed off the set when the reunion begins on January 13. Let it snow!
