THERE has been two collisions on the M7 Ballysimon motorway this morning forcing the closure of a section of the busy route.

A collision occurred around 8.48am on Wednesday between junction 30 and junction 29 on the M20 eastbound.

A second multi-vehicle collision occurred around 9.21am on Wednesday between junction 29 (N24) Ballysimon and junction 30 on the M20 westbound.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland has advised motorists to expect delays to their journey. Consider a different journey route or start time. When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the road traffic collisions that occurred on the M7 motorway on Wednesday morning.

The M7 motorway is closed at Junction 29 in both directions at this time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
