Speculation about Sadie Sink’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day began when Jeff Sneider first reported that she would play Jean Grey. Initial doubts surrounded this claim, but it has since gained renewed attention.

Daniel Richtman recently reported that Sink’s character has mind-control powers. Alex Perez added, “Allegedly, in the movie, there’s this character who has mind control powers who, reportedly, manipulates the DODC guards with the purpose of ultimately helping Scorpion get out of prison.” Jean Grey uses similar powers in Marvel Comics, where she is known for her telepathy and telekinesis.
