Dalyston House at the turn of the 20th century.

Previously approved plans to redevelop an almost 300-year-old landmark building in Galway have been refused by An Comisiún Pleanála following an appeal from concerned locals.

Dalyston House is a designated Protected Structure at Dalystown Demesne in Kylebrack near Loughrea in Co Galway. It is believed the house was built c.1730 by the Daly family.
