Ireland’s beauty savvy travellers – or ‘glowmads’, as they are being dubbed – are among a growing cohort of global travellers weaving their passion into their holiday choices, and seeking out the world’s cult beauty and skincare retailers for red-hot deals.
The global wellness tourism sector as predicted is booming, with Gen Z firmly in the driving seat. Twenty-seven per cent of those born between 1997 and 2012 plan to seek out beauty treatments and skincare stores while travelling this year, according to Skyscanner’s 2026 Trends Report.
