Kilbride, Newport, Co. Mayo and late of Dublin and Waterford – peacefully, surrounded by her family and in the wonderful care of the staff at the Pilgrim’s Rest Nursing Home on the 9th January 2026.
Predeceased by her husband Barry, brothers Danny, Nicholas, Johnnie, Paul, Michael, Hilary, Raymond and Paddy, sisters Betty, Anna, Pauline, Noelene, Dorothy and Carmel.
Vera will be sadly missed by her son Christopher, daughter in law Elvira, grandchildren Jessie, Liam, Christopher and Robin, brothers Frank & Carl, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Rest in peace.
Vera will repose at St. Dominick’s Funeral, Newport (F28 H682) on Monday evening (12th January) from 6pm to 7pm.
Removal on Tuesday morning to Shannon crematorium for service at 1pm.
No flowers please. Donations in lieu to the Irish Peatland Conservation Council www.ipcc.ie, a charity that Vera was actively engaged with over many years.
