Baby Ní Ruairc is almost due, and this week, friends of mum-to-be Síomha put on a fun-filled baby shower for her with all the trimmings.

The TV presenter and How To Gael podcast host, 32, is pregnant with her first child with her husband, Cathal Pendred and is due at the end of January 2026.

The day was packed with games and karaoke, but at one point, Síomha managed to give everyone a serious fright, in particular her hubby, Cathal.

Posting an array of shots from the big day, Síomha and her husband were surrounded by some of their closest friends, with a few familiar faces among the group.

Her podcast buddies Louise Cantillon and Doireann Ní Ghlacáin were there to celebrate along with presenter James Kavanagh.

Giving fans a little insight into the part, she wrote ‘How lucky are we to have such a gorgeous gang come celebrate our pending arrival. Go raibh míle maith agaibh Katie and Emma for organising. I got zero pics of the food, but it was AMAZING.’

While out on the balcony, Síomha decided to attempt a catwalk strut while her friend sang the Black Eyed Peas Song, ‘My Humps.’

Walking confidently, all of a sudden her heels got the better of her, and she went flying forward- a scene that her friend decided capture and put in slow motion.

Luckily, the presenter caught the railing, which prevented her from falling straight to the ground.

While overcome with fright, she composed herself quickly, but it was her husband’s face that caught people’s attention.

Peeking out the doorway, Cathal’s face was white, and you could tell that he had got a fright from what had just happened.

Thankfully, Síomha was ok, but maybe stick with flats for the rest of the pregnancy just in case!
