A business owner in Wexford has announced the closure of one of their clothing stores in the south of the county, much to the sadness of their customers in the area.

Nóirín Kinsella, the owner of The Clothesline Boutique (Wexford town and New Ross) and Lady Lane (New Ross), made the announcement on the store’s social media channels on Monday, January 12, where she said, “after much thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our New Ross store”.

Lady Lane, located on 56 South Street, New Ross, will close its doors in a couple of weeks, and all items in store have been immediately reduced by 50pc.

Addressing her online viewers, Nóirín said that it comes “with a very heavy heart” and went on to thank those who supported the business.

“I want to thank each and every one of our customers, friends and of course our staff, for giving us the most amazing two-and-a-half years.

“It was so much fun and we’ve got wildly exciting plans coming down the road,” Nóirín added.

Gift vouchers and credit notes will be honoured by the business, and the second store based in Wexford town, The Clothesline Boutique, will continue to do business as usual.
