US drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society has landed on ITVX and promises to fill a void for anyone who loves a good murder mystery with flashbacks, beautiful settings, and snappy dialogue. Starring Aja Naomi King (Lessons in Chemistry), Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Ben Rappaport, and AnnaSophia Robb (The Carrie Diaries), the “irresistibly twisty” series comes from Good Girls creator Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs.

All 13 episodes of Grosse Pointe Garden Society are available to stream for free now and with the series sadly being cancelled by NBC last June you can easily add it to your ‘completed shows’ list.

A synopsis for the series reads: “Set within the pristine, tightly-managed world of an affluent suburban garden club, Grosse Pointe Garden Society unravels the lives of Alice (Robb), Birdie (Fumero), Catherine (King) and Brett (Rappaport) – whose carefully curated existences are shattered when they become bound together by a dark secret, a murder no one is willing to speak about.

“As scandals deepen and unspoken truths begin to rot beneath the immaculate surface of the neighbourhood, the group is forced to confront the fractures in their relationships, their marriages, and themselves.

“Blending emotional tension with layered mystery, the series explores the cost of perfectionism, the pressures of suburban performance, and the corrosive power of secrets.”

Grosse Pointe Garden Society debuted in the US on NBC last February and quickly gained comparisons to another show starring Aja Naomi King, How to Get Away with Murder.

Users on IMDB pointed out the similarities between the two shows, while also citing Desperate Housewives as another major influence.

One viewer gushed: “There are so many twists and turns, and it’s very suspenseful.

“It does remind me a lot of HTGAWM, which was another favourite. Always ends on a cliffhanger, leaving you waiting for more.”

Another added: “It’s stylish, addictive, and way more fun than it has any right to be. If you love drama with a little dirt under its nails, this is your next binge. It’s giving HTGAWM vibes.”

While a third wrote: “The best parts of HTGAWM, Good Girls, and Desperate Housewives add an outstanding cast and great writing, what’s not to love?”

Grosse Pointe Garden Society is available to stream now on ITVX.
