Legal firm acting on gallery’s behalf sent broadcaster an affidavit that outlined the history of the painting’s ownership and how it ended up at its Montrose campus

RTÉ has handed back a painting worth €60,000 to a gallery in Dublin that claimed ownership of it.
The work by Gerard Dillon was given to Taylor Galleries last month, after checks were made by the national broadcaster about its provenance.
