Books-A-Million is back and better than ever in Bossier City.

You might have noticed the “Now Open” sign in front of the Books-A-Million on Meadow Creek Drive. This opening comes after a renovation that began early summer 2025.

The store is between ALDI and Sally Beauty and brings with it a touch of nostalgia. In 2014, Books-A-Million closed its doors in Bossier City, but now, 11 years later, it has found its way back to the area in a new location.

This national bookstore chain originated in 1917 in Florence, Alabama, and started as a newsstand. Today it is one of the largest book retailers in the United States, with more than 260 stores across 32 states.

These stores offer a variety of products, such as books, magazines, manga, collectibles, toys and technology.

Check out the new store in 2900 block of Meadow Creek Dr.

The store will host a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19. The following day, the store will host a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
