A nursing home in Co Kilkenny has come under fire after HIQA discovered a scabies outbreak and a “strong smell of urine” in parts of the home during a two-day inspection of the centre in September of 2025.
Brookhaven Nursing Home, situated in the village of Ballyragget in Co Kilkenny, can accommodate up to 71 residents at a time, both male and female.
