Edwin Edogbo is a super talent and I would be shocked if he doesn’t play for Ireland in this Six Nations

Today’s European action was important on many fronts. It was the last round of the group stages, but it was also a final trial for any players hoping to start for Ireland in the Six Nations opener in Paris against France.

On paper, our two Champions Cup provinces, Leinster and Munster, had reasonably favourable fixtures. Leinster started the afternoon in Bayonne who sit in ninth place in the Top 14 but who had zero points from the first three games in Pool 3 and Munster hosted Castres, who are currently 10th in their domestic competition. It was a real mixed bag.
