A party of schoolchildren left the Dáil public gallery today after being warned by the Ceann Comhairle that a debate on artificial intelligence chatbots may not be suitable for young ears.

Verona Murphy took the unusual step of addressing the party of 12-year-old boys and girls, telling them: “This may not be an appropriate debate for you.” Teachers immediately ushered out the youngsters from Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir in Arklow, who had been on a tour of Leinster House.
