Michael Murphy, the career criminal known as “The Vet,” is now believed to be largely off the hook with “The Family” gang after pleading guilty to possessing €10.6 million worth of cocaine.

It is understood his decision to accept responsibility has eased the threat against him, avoiding the scrutiny a full trial could have brought on those behind the shipment.
