Fans think they finally know who killed Ray in Emmerdale, after a cliffhanger on Wednesday teased their identity.
The episode saw three different suspects take centre stage, with plans to confront Ray as some did just that. One character was in the closing scenes of the ITV soap’s latest episode, wielding a shotgun.
So have we got our killer? Fans certainly think so ahead of Thursday’s episode confirming Ray’s final moments and his cause of death. Not only that, but we see him die, and finally unmask who carried out the crime.
Fans watching on Wednesday think a scene may have given away the culprit. We saw Paddy Dingle challenging Ray over his missing father Bear, with Ray dropping the bombshell that Bear was dead.

We also saw Marlon Dingle preparing to challenge Ray after a previous showdown, with him convinced Ray had taken his missing daughter April Windsor. He was shown approaching Ray with a knife, only to be spotted by another suspect, Ross Barton.
Ross demanded answers about what had driven Marlon to carry a blade, and soon all became clear. Ross listened, horrified, as Marlon told him exactly what had been going on in recent months.
From April’s ordeal to what Ray and Celia had put the family through, Marlon told Ross all about his fears for his daughter. Ross was furious, and made the point that Marlon should have said something sooner.
Soon he had revenge in mind, as he fled to the farm owned by his aunt Moira Dingle. We saw Ross searching around before locating a shotgun, preparing to use it with a murderous look on his face.

The episode ended before we saw what happened next, so will he end up using it to kill Ray? Some viewers are sure it’s Ross who murders the villain, believing the latest scene could be proof.
One fan said: “Ross killed Ray????” as another agreed: “Surely Ross killed Ray?” A third fan posted: “Marlon, being a proud dad, reluctantly let Ross go and do the dirty work.”
A further post asked: “Did he kill Ray?” Another said: “I’m looking at Ross – I know spoilers last week teased he had a gun and could be a suspect and I think it’s plausible.”
Another fan agreed: “I was thinking the same, I don’t buy any of the suspects or anyone mentioned other than Ross, and maybe April is involved too hence them being secretive recently.” Viewers will find out the true killer when it airs on Thursday.
