According to Swedish outlet FotbollDirekt, Hammarby have rejected a £3.1m transfer bid from French side Toulouse for winger Sebastian Tounekti.

The Ligue 1 club have been told that around £5.2m will be needed to prise the Tunisian international away from Sweden.

Celtic saw a £2.6m bid for Tounekti thrown out this week, but could increase their second offer to £3.5m, which is still way under Hammarby’s valuation.

Tounekti has been reacting to the speculation surrounding him, telling Fotbollskanalen: “You get to know some of what’s going on and I’ve heard that there’s interest.

“Of course, it’s great that a big club (Celtic) that often plays in the Champions League wants me.

“It’s a top club in Europe. It’s great that there’s that kind of interest and it shows that you’ve done something good.

“Now I’m just focusing on training here and we have a very important match on Sunday.”

Alan Sheehan on Swansea City target Idah

Adam Idah is the subject of ongoing transfer talks between Swansea City and Celtic, Sky Sports are claiming.

The Irishman is a top target for the Welsh outfit, who are prepared to offer a decent fee for him.

Swansea boss Sheehan was quizzed on the speculation, saying: “He is a player I’m aware of obviously, an Irish international so yeah I do know him.

“A good player but I don’t want to comment on anybody that’s not our player.

Yang Hyun-jun to Birmingham City?

Celtic winger Yang could be on his way to Birmingham City before the transfer window closes on Monday evening.

Sky Sports say the Blues have made an approach and Celtic are now considering whether to progress with a potential deal, or keep him in the squad.

Birmingham – who have Kyogo Furuhashi and Tomoki Iwata on their books – want to sign the 23-year-old South Korean permanently.
