For a man who so readily embraces adversity at every turn, even Andy Farrell will surely be sitting a little less comfortably on his flight from the Six Nations launch in Edinburgh on Monday to join the rest of the Ireland squad in the Algarve.
A little over 10 days out from Ireland’s Six Nations opener against France in Paris, Farrell has a full-scale loosehead prop crisis on his hands, with injury doubts hanging over several other players who were named in last week’s 37-man squad.
