Storm Chandra is currently wreaking havoc across Donegal with reports of trees down, roads flooded and power outages.
A Status Yellow rain warning is in effect for Donegal and the entire country until 11pm.
Donegal County Council is reporting a tree down on the R247 in the townland of Saltpans.
“Due to a fallen tree, the R-247 regional road at Saltpans is partially blocked. Motorists are asked to drive with care in this area. Roads crew are attending to clear the fallen tree,” a council spokesperson said.
Flooding at Watery Road junction Burnfoot
Road users are advised that there is flooding at the junction between Watery Road (L1841) and the R238 Regional Road at Burnfoot village. Passable with care.
Harry Blaney Bridge closed
Due to high winds, the Harry Blaney Bridge will be closed from 8am to 11am today 27th. Motorists are asked to use an alternative route during these times.
A number of power cuts have also been reported around down following strong gusts in the early hours of this morning.
