It is feared the gang will strike again

Gardai in Galway are investigating several incidents that have taken place across the county, including a worrying trend at a hotel in Galway.
The latest incident occurred in the car park of the Maldron Hotel in Oranmore. Two vans were broken into between 9pm on January 21 and 9am on January 22.
The van owner returned to discover work tools had been stolen. Anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed any suspicious activity or who may have any information in relation to this incident are asked to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030 or indeed any Garda Station.

A second hotel was also targeted recently. Another van was broken into in the car park at the Nox Hotel, with more workmen’s tools stolen.
The tools taken were a Makita tango drill, bosch masonry drill, bosch 4-inch angle grinder and 2 pairs of work boots.

Two cases of criminal damage are also being investigated by gardai.
The first case occurred at Carraig Palmer, Salthill, on January 22, when the owner of the car discovered the side and back windows were smashed. Anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident are asked to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.
A second case of criminal damage took place the Curragh Park estate in Ballinasloe on January 21 at around 6:20pm.
The homeowner was at home when a rock was thrown through the front window of the house. Anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident are asked to contact Ballinalsoe Garda Station on 090-9631890.
Two recent burglaries are under investigation.
Gardaí in Eyrecourt are investigating a break-in to a house in Easker, Banagher that occurred on January 23 between 8am and 11pm. The rear window of the house was forced open and the rooms were ransacked. Lastly, Gardai in Eyrecourt are investigating the break-in to a property in Cloncondra that occurred on January 23 between 4pm and 11.30p.m. The owner returned to the house to discover that entry had been gained and the house was ransacked.
