Timeless fairytales and classic Venetian masquerades will be among the themes for a special ball in aid of local charity Cancer Connect.

Businesses have been invited to attend the annual Marketing Institute of Ireland (MII) Cork Masquerade Ball, which this year will be held on March 7.

The theme of the event is ‘Once Upon a Masquerade’, and it will take place at Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel.

The black-tie event kicks off with a drinks reception at 7pm before a multi-course dinner with wine, followed by live entertainment, music, dancing, and a raffle.

Marilyn Reidy, chairwoman of the ball, said the celebration has become a flagship event in the Cork business calendar, and this year is all about connection, creativity, and giving back.

FUNDS

Funds raised will go towards the not-for-profit organisation providing a free transport service for people attending cancer-related appointments at Cork hospitals.

Helen O’Driscoll, manager of Cancer Connect, said the support of MII Cork and its members will make a real and meaningful difference to the people who rely on Cancer Connect every day, adding: “We are truly grateful to everyone attending this event for their generosity and support.”

Tickets are €160 per person and can be purchased individually, or as a group of 10 per table, via the MII website.
