Edmond, Oklahoma –

Move over, Frosty. There’s a new snowman in town, or rather, a snow bison.

Oklahoma resident Rex Henck spent hours with his family transforming melting snow into a “Rumble the Bison” masterpiece, showcasing a talent he’s honed over 36 years.

Henck’s snow sculptures have become a local tradition, with past creations including George Washington, Snoopy, Nemo, and even the viral Bernie Sanders mittens meme.

“I knew it was going to be cold, so I thought anything to make things go by faster,” Henck said, explaining his meticulous 10-hour prep process involving wire frames and custom wood stamps.

The sculptor credits his skills to his high school job at a body shop and his upbringing in snowy Upstate New York. “Basically, I’m doing body work on a snow sculpture,” he said.

Despite the attention his creations garner, Henck remains humble. “I think it’s alright,” he said of his latest work. For him, the real reward is the memories made with family.

The Rumble the Bison sculpture can be viewed near Northwest 150th and Santa Fe in Edmond, weather permitting.
