Fenit native Orla O’Connor won the prestigious fiddle title on her first attempt at competing in the senior ranks

A Kerry woman who travelled from America to compete at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is thrilled to have won the ‘cut-throat’ senior fiddle competition on Saturday.
Orla O’Connor (27), a Fenit native who has lived in Idaho in the USA for several years, represented Portland, Oregan at the 2025 Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford.
