SammyGuru is getting a visual refresh, and before we lock anything in, we want your input.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been quietly working on a new logo for SammyGuru.com. The goal was simple: keep the design clean and modern, while clearly reflecting our Samsung-focused identity. After testing multiple concepts and refining shapes, we’ve narrowed it down to two final designs — huge thanks to Josh for designing the logos.
I’ve also decided to drop the “with Jeff Springer” branding from the site. When we started, the site’s association with my personal brand helped visibility. SammyGuru is now an established media brand that proudly employs 8 full and part time writers. The brand can now stand on its own. Of course, I will continue in my role as Managing Editor.
We’re refreshing the SammyGuru logo, and we want your input
Both options share the same core idea. They are built around the silhouette of a modern Samsung Galaxy smartphone’s rear design, a subtle nod to what SammyGuru is all about. No clutter, no unnecessary elements, just a recognizable shape that instantly signals our niche.
However, as you can see below, Option 1 has the initials “SG” (for SammyGuru) contained, while Option 2 takes a slightly open approach. We like both approaches, and that’s exactly why we’re turning to you. We want you to select the new logo that will be the identity of SammyGuru.com (and SammyGuru YouTube, socials, etc.) going forward. Vote below and help shape SammyGuru’s new look.
This redesign is about refining, not reinventing, and your feedback plays a big part in that. Thanks for being part of the journey, and for helping us decide what SammyGuru should look like next. The poll will remain open for a month, after which the option with the most votes will become SammyGuru’s new official logo across the site and our social platforms.
