Broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan returned to her Limerick roots this week to headline Network Ireland Limerick’s business event of the year.
Last Wednesday, January 28, saw over 120 professional women gather at the Strand Hotel to discuss leadership, resilience, and the evolving role of women in modern Ireland.
The event launched the 2026 programme under the leadership of the newly appointed Network Ireland Limerick President, Barbara MacCarthy.
MacCarthy’s chosen theme for the year is ‘Lead The Way.’
“‘Lead The Way’ is about connection, inclusion, and breaking down barriers for women in the workplace. We are proud to begin the year by welcoming Miriam O’Callaghan, whose leadership and commitment to amplifying women’s voices strongly reflect the values of Network Ireland Limerick,” MacCarthy said.
Miriam O’Callaghan shared personal anecdotes from her high-profile career, touching on the themes of her bestselling book, ‘Life, Work, Everything’.
She spoke about navigating the complexities of balancing a demanding career with personal life, offering the audience a look at the challenges even the most seasoned leaders face.
With lots of activities planned for this year, MacCarthy expressed her commitment to supporting members across all facets of life, whether in the boardroom, the community, or at home.
