The Minister for Health has expressed her concerns about vacant beds at Mallow General Hospital over Christmas, while patients were in trolleys at Cork University Hospital and Mercy University Hospital.
Figures released by Minister Carroll MacNeill showed that Mallow had ten vacancies on Sunday, 28 December and on the same day, 11 people were on trolleys in Mercy University Hospital.
